Physical violence may need to be authorised to restrain me from entering JB-Hifi ever again.

I'm obsessed with spending money at JB. Honestly, they could just set up a shop outside my house and they'd probably make more money than Sanity or HMV do with their Burke st shops. A list of all the things that I have bought in the past year from JB (not including gifts for other people).

DVDs:

From Russia With Love
The World Is Not Enough
The 39 Steps
Alien
All Quiet on the Western Front (1930)

The Battle of Los Angeles - Rage Against the Machine
Renegades - Rage Against the Machine
Stadium Arcadium - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Exile on Main St - The Rolling Stones
Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols
The Essential Sly and the Family Stone
Too Much, Too Young - The Specials
Classic Muddy Waters
Hard Again - Muddy Waters
Little Cloud - The Whitlams

Okay, that list is a little scary looking back at it. For a person with no real income, that's far too many purchases. Hmm.

So, I expect physical restraints to remove me from JB-Hifi, should anyone see me in there. I guess, though, that's not really going to solve the problem as many of them were bought from their online shop…

HOORAY! A blog update! That can only mean one thing... You have essays and exams coming up. (Do I evre know that feeling!) But whatever the motivation, don't think I don't appreciate the effort.

As for your out of control spending habits... I think Today Tonight should do an expose; dodgy kids on youth-allowance who spend all their money at J.B. They could pay you for your appearance in CDs.

I'd have to pretend to be of some ethnicity to get on the program, though. They can't have anglo kids screwing up our country.

Admittedly most were second hand, but its still a fair effort. And a fair amount of money I shouldn’t be spending.

A challenge!!! Goodness me!

We'll have to see what we can do about that…

Oh. And Weezer - Malndroit.

The challenge just got harder...

Its only 11... But you can have double bonus points for Michael Collins, Coldplay and The Police.

Grand total: 14

Excellent work.

And also getting real copies is excusable. I feel dirty and the filth of humankind etc etc having (as you so politely said) "digital copies"...

There is also something *nice* about having a hard copy, especially if it is one of your absolute favourite albums. The liner notes, the artwork… nice.

+ Michael Franti - Yell Fire!
+ Michael Franti - Love Kamikaze

i'd love to see the original ladykillers.

what did you think of 'good night and good luck'? if i remember correctly it came out in a period of much george clooney, and i saw 'syriana' instead.

The original Ladykillers is absolutely terrific. Alec Guinness is great, and it is interesting to see early Peter Sellers relegated to a fairly inconsequential part.

Good Night and Good Luck was great. I ended up seeing all of the 'Best Picture' nominees except for the winner, and out of them I would be very hard pressed to chose between Capote and GN&GL. It was terrific, a great first attempt from Clooney. I didn't see Syriana. It was meant to be good, if a little muddled, if I recall correctly.

Anyway.
